This album has some very good songs like Charade and 02. This is one of the best Cd’s Fantomas has dropped to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Fantomas energies, virtually a rebirth. Live At Amoeba San Francisco 09-06-01 is the best essence of Fantomas.
02 defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. 03 is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. 04 is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Lullabye sets the tone for the entire album. 06 is a bit different from Fantomas stereotypical stuff. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Investigation Of A Citizen Under Suspicion has a fun tempo. The song Experiment In Terror ending is my favorite… so catchy! 10 is absolutely incredible. 11 is simple, dignified and effective, Fantomas refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. 12 - My least favorite song on this album. In Chariot Choogle the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
