When you buy a Falconer album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Falconer had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since completing 2003’s ‘The Coronation’, Falconer fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I wish that “Scepter of Deseption” album was instrumental.
|titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Simple and heartfelt closing track Under The Sword closes Scepter of Deseption on a high note. Music and lyrics of Night Of Infamy creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Hooves Over Northland, which shows, blatantly, how much Falconer has evolved as a singer. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Ravenhair makes a person feel astounding. Falconer sings his heart out in The Sceptre Of Deception. Still going through Scepter of Deseption and coming to appreciate Hear Me Pray more and more with every listen. Child Of Innocence is one of the coolest songs Falconer has ever recorded.
