On The Arrival album, Deadlock have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since completing 2002’s ‘…For The New Prophets’, Deadlock fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is no doubt that Deadlock has talent. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Praeludium has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Deadlock’s strong vocals come to the fore. Once you hear Love. I Think I Had Never Felt It Before, you will listen to it over and over. This song stands out greatly from the others. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This Winter Days Magic - arguably the best track on The Arrival album. The More Money They Get. The Colder Their Hearts - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. All of songs on The Arrival and have something to say letting alone Spring Is Awoken. Killing The Time With Haemoglobin is astounding work of Deadlock. With A Smile On My Face - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Deadlock. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
