It’s natural for Dan Gibson to take a stab at ‘Moonlight Sonata’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. After seeing Moonlight Sonata, I had to have a good Dan Gibson cd. This disc has all of the essential Dan Gibson classics. Such great and happy songs.
Un Bel Di Vedremo is the albums biggest surprise. It’s such an underrated song. In Allegro From Piano Sonata In C it becomes nowhere more obvious that Dan Gibson has yet to define own style. Dan Gibson allows each song to breathe and flourish. Jesu Joy Of Man’s Desiring can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Dan Gibson is all about. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Best Of Solitudes 20Th Anniversary CD1. Breton Children’s Song is a bit different from Dan Gibson stereotypical stuff. Serenade is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Nocturne In Bb Minor is nothing but pure genius. Women Of Ireland is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Canon was the first single release from the album The Best Of Solitudes 20Th Anniversary CD1.
