After debuting at No. 1 last week, Volga’s album Vipey Do Dna falls to No. 2 with 175,000, a sales slide of 83%. This is the first studio album from Volga since bad diagnosis in 2003. After seeing Kukomoya, I had to have a good Volga cd. IT makes me wanna dance!
Meryl presents the astounding mix of instruments on Vipey Do Dna. Don’t judge Jarilo on the first listening. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Konopel is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Volga must have run out of lyrics on the next track Trough. Once you hear Gossip, you will listen to it over and over. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Vdovushka is my favorite song on Vipey Do Dna. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Vipey Do Dna. Take Do Dna which is my favorite is a truly Volga sounding song. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Vipey Do Dna is Molodushka. Rusalya is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Once Rain gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
