For older fans Ether song will put a massive smile accross your face. It’s natural for Turin Brakes to take a stab at ‘Blue Hour’ considering her long-professed love for Universal Soul. Since completing 2003’s ‘Blue Hour’, Turin Brakes fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
I like to sing along with Average Man, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. In Long Distance the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Self Help - My least favorite song on this album. Falling Down is really the reason why I recommend buying Ether song. Stone Thrown defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I’ve found myself listening to Clear Blue Air back to back and back many times. After few listenings I started to like Pain Killer (Summer Rain) more and more. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. I love the melodic melody of Panic Attack and to this day it makes me feel good. Don’t judge Little Brother on the first listening. When I listen to Rain City in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Simple and heartfelt closing track Blue Hour (Bonus Cd) closes Ether song on a high note. Get Ether song and turn on Self Help (Bonus Cd) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Long Distance (Bonus Cd) one of the best in my collection. Bright Golden Lights (Bonus Cd…) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others.
