The Suicide Machines’s debut, ‘A Match And Some Gasoline’, does not fit easily into one genre. I am not a real Rock: Punk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘A Match And Some Gasoline’ really is amazing. A Match And Some Gasoline carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Another great offering from The Suicide Machines.
Did You Ever Get A Feeling Of good vocals. Keep It A Crime is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. The Suicide Machines sings High Anxiety in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Your Silence as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. The Change is simple, dignified and effective, The Suicide Machines refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Invisible Government is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Overall a nice softer song. In Seized Up it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Suicide Machines has yet to define own style. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Kaleidoscope because the melody in the chorus is so good. The Politics Of Humanity is the most memorable and exquisite.
