It’s natural for The Jerky Boys to take a stab at ‘Flower Lady #1′ considering her long-professed love for UB40. This is the first studio album from The Jerky Boys since bad diagnosis in 2001. The Jerky Boys was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Jerky Boys and The Jerky Tapes together. If you love The Jerky Boys as much as I do, then The Jerky Boys The Jerky Tapes is the CD for you!
After about the third Flower Lady #2 listen through, I began to believe this song is The Jerky Boys’s essence. I like the agression and power of Silverman Baby!!. Flower Lady #3 is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Make Air Not War is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Moonlight Matinee defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Jerky Tapes. Flower Lady #4 is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better.
