four years ago, Soulfood briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Celestial Meditations Part 1″. It has been four years Soulfood’ last studio CD, “Celestial Meditations” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Soulfood had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Smart music for smart people.
One listen to the sheer beauty of Celestial Meditations Part 1 was all I needed. Planet Weaver is nothing but pure genius. Native Sky is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
