This is the first studio album from Ruthie Foster since bad diagnosis in 2003. Ruthie Foster had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Runaway Soul isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is one of Ruthie Foster best albums
Ruthie Foster allows each song to breathe and flourish. As always, Ruthie Foster’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. A unique and uplifting song. Hole In My Pocket makes a person feel perfect. This track is full of harmonies and gets Runaway Soul off to a relaxing start. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Walk On is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Runaway Soul. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
