Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Phil Coulter comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This disc has all of the essential Phil Coulter classics. Now signed to Phil Coulter’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Songs I Love So Well” leads Phil Coulter’s back-to-school campaign. Unappreciated gift to New Age
Such hits like Gold and Silver Days will leave you hooked. Home Away From Home is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Phil Coulter ever produced. Scorn Not His Simplicity - a classic song. Take Me Home to me is the best you can get from Phil Coulter. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I like the agression and power of I Loved The Ground. Nice and different song. My Boy is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Yesterday’s Men is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Songs I Love So Well. After few listenings I started to like Steal Away more and more. Keep A Candle In The Window has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. This song is dynamic and dramatic. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.
