It has been nine years Mum’ last studio CD, “Finally We Are No One” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. nine years ago, Mum briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Green Grass of Tunnel”. Finally We Are No One carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Great Ambient right here!
Green Grass of Tunnel is really a nice song to relax and listen too. We Have A Map of The Piano actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Mum’s face. Don’t Be Afraid, You Have Just Got Your Eyes Closed - Check out that bassline! Behind Two Hills,,,,A Swimmingpool - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Voice of Mum in K/half Noise is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Now There’s That Fear Again - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I Can’t Feel My Hand Any More, It’s Alright, Sleep Tight is one of the more up-tempo songs on Finally We Are No One. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Mum is one of artists that allow his songs like The Land Between Solar Systems to stand on their own and be heard.
