This ten-song debut EP shows the promise that Lsd has. Lead single “East Of The River Ganges - Mango In My Flute Mix” and “Elephant Trax - Hammer To The Nail Dub” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On East Of The River Ganges album, Lsd have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If you love Lsd as much as I do, then Lsd East Of The River Ganges is the CD for you!
Lsd rocks harder than ever with Elephant Trax - Hammer To The Nail Dub. I was truly moved when I heard Cleaning Fluid (Druids Dreads and Sadhus Mix). Spiritual Journey - Mother Milk Edit is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The Kumba Mela - Himalayan Dub has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Lsd’s strong vocals come to the fore. Life After Death - Glass Key Dub is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Be Conscious - Om Namai and Shiveye Mix - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Still going through East Of The River Ganges and coming to appreciate Outro (Don’t Want To Lose Your Love Dub Edit) more and more with every listen.
