There is so much to love about Karl Valentin, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Karl Valentin’s new album to that on ‘Gesamtausgabe Ton (CD6)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lead single “Wiesn - Bummel” and “Die Lilliputaner” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Gesamtausgabe Ton (CD6) constantly brilliant.
When listening to Die Lilliputaner, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Steilwandfahrer is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Only one song from Gesamtausgabe Ton (CD6) named Das Nichts really got me. This is one hell of a track. Im Schirmgeschft is outstanding work of Karl Valentin. Some call Die Vogelausstellung from Gesamtausgabe Ton (CD6) as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I like to sing along with Die Umtauschzentrale, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Geschftsleute nach dem Krieg has a fun tempo. Zeuge Winkler on Gesamtausgabe Ton (CD6) is solid and easy to listen to. Der Mensch denkt und Gott lenkt one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard.
