For older fans Works for Me will put a massive smile accross your face. There is so much to love about John Scofield, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. John Scofield had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. If I may, I suggest “I’ll Catch You”. That one song is amazing!
One listen to the sheer beauty of Not You Again was all I needed. Big J is just simply stunning. I was truly moved when I heard Loose Canon. Love You Long Time is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Music and lyrics of Hive creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Once Heel To Toe gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Do I Crazy? - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. In Mrs. Scofield’s you won’t find any flashy solos. Six And Eight (8:18) - awsome. Nice and different song.
