Funeral had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since completing 2002’s ‘Yield To Me’, Funeral fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There were many famous songs of Funeral available. If I may, I suggest “Yield To Me”. That one song is amazing!
Truly A Suffering is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This song is dynamic and dramatic. The Stings I Carry is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. When Light Will Dawn is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. After about the third In Fields Of Pestilent Grief listen through, I began to believe this song is Funeral’s essence. Facing Failure is the funkiest number on the album. When I listen to What Could Have Been in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Such hits like Vile Are The Pains will leave you hooked. Epilogue marked the continuation of Funeral in style evolution.
