Dry Cell was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Dry Cell and [2002] Disconnected together. This album has some very good songs like Slip Away and Under The Sun. It has been eight years Dry Cell’ last studio CD, “[2002] Disconnected” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
In Under The Sun the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Body Crumbles is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Last Time has a fun tempo. Within the first few notes of Sorry it’s perfectly clear that Dry Cell is living this song. Silence is the more seemingly obscure song on [2002] Disconnected that bear up best to repeated listening. So Long Ago hits the heart. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Still going through [2002] Disconnected and coming to appreciate Disconnected more and more with every listen. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. In Brave it becomes nowhere more obvious that Dry Cell has yet to define own style. Last Time (Reprise) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Grape Jelly is the most memorable and cool. Don’t judge Heaven N Hot Rods (Stone Temple Pilots Cover) on the first listening. I Confide is a strong cut, one of many. The first time I listened to Peewee I was struck by its amazing sound. Velvet Elvis is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
