This is the first studio album from Die Arzte since bad diagnosis in 2001. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Die Arzte on ‘Intro - Dauerwelle vs. Minipli’. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Die Arzte has. Another great offering from Die Arzte.
Die Arzte allows each song to breathe and flourish. As always, Die Arzte’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Der Optimist is my favorite song on Live In Westerland. First time I heard Ohne dich was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Goldenes Handwerk marked the continuation of Die Arzte in style evolution. Put Hurra into car stereo for your highway driving Schunder-Song - I just love it. Angeber has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Die Arzte’s strong vocals come to the fore. Improvisation is worth the money. N 48.3 - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Live In Westerland. Die Arzte emotions are reflected through Yoko Ono. Geld on Live In Westerland is solid and easy to listen to. Mondo Bondage is absolutely incredible. If I Fell (The Beatles) sets the tone for the entire album. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Die Arzte sings his heart out in Dein Vampyr. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Leichenhalle incl. Westerland from the beginning to the end. Die Arzte has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Rock n Roll Ubermensch has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Blueprint is probably the highlight of the album. Nie wieder Krieg, nie mehr Las Vegas is the first taste of the new album. Die traurige Ballade von Susi Spakowski is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Live In Westerland. Blumen - For me, this is the best of the album. Song Ein Sommer nur fur mich is actually a funny song. Ignorama is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Die Arzte is hitting on all cylinders in Langweilig. Only one song from Live In Westerland named Rebell really got me. Don’t judge Elke on the first listening. Musically Teenager Liebe is superior to other tracks in Live In Westerland. Buddy Holly’s Brille is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Radio brennt is the albums biggest surprise. Ist das alles is the gorgeous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Elektrobier is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Rache - Okay, I just talked about depth. A-Moll one of the best in my collection. In Punkbabies full palet of sound is used by Die Arzte to accentuate the presentation. Die Arzte breathes new life into the music in Bravopunks. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Live In Westerland. If you are a Die Arzte fan, you will love Rock Rendenzvous. I listened to the opening track Der lustige Astronaut and liked it a lot. Manchmal haben Frauen is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. All of songs on Live In Westerland and have something to say letting alone Wie es geht. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Some of the arrangements found on Live In Westerland are surprisingly edgy. Du willst mich kussen is a bit of a show-tune. Music in Westerland is marvelous as in all tracks of Live In Westerland. Schei typ gives taste of what makes Die Arzte special as a musician. Grace Kelly is a strong cut, one of many. Kopfuber in die Holle - Revolution is exquisite work of Die Arzte. Outro I just LOVE this mix!
