Self-described as Metal: Gothic with lots of words, Darkwell comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Darkwell had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. eleven years ago, Darkwell briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Thy Curse”. To me Darkwell is the best band ever.
Thy Curse is one of my favorite songs by Darkwell. Conflict of Interest couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Elisabetha. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Twist in my Sobriety is such a perfect and optimistic song that things can get just better.
