I am not a real Breakbeat music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Counterfeit’ really is amazing. On the Russia charts, superstar Cirrus’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This disc has all of the essential Cirrus classics. Counterfeit is not something you should pass up.
Straight Laid Out is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Some call Breakbeat Suckers from Counterfeit as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Half A Cell is one of the more up-tempo songs on Counterfeit. Dragon Lounge is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Intermission can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Cirrus is all about. As always, Cirrus’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. You Are (Panacea) is one of my favorite songs by Cirrus. Ghettoblaster (6:10) a good melody. I have all of Cirrus’s tracks and Hit The Decks is probably the most his introspective effort. Unbreakable hits the heart. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
