Nostalgic Indian Tunes on Piano isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Now signed to Brian Silas’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Nostalgic Indian Tunes on Piano” leads Brian Silas’s back-to-school campaign. Self-described as Instrumental with lots of words, Brian Silas comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Brian Silas ever.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Kya Jadu Hai, which shows, blatantly, how much Brian Silas has evolved as a singer. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Khwab Ho Tum Ya because the melody in the chorus is so good. Dost Dost Na Raha is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Mere Mehboob Na Jaa. Saranga Teri Yaad Mein is the song that really did it for me. Tukde Hain Mere Dil Ke is perfect. In Rula Ke Gaya Sapan Mera you won’t find any flashy solos. Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo is another favourite of mine. Na Kisi KI Aankh Ka Noor Hoon is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Once you hear Aayi Zanjeer Ki Jhankar Ke Khuda Khair Kare, you will listen to it over and over.
