It has been two years Blood or Whiskey’ last studio CD, “No Time to Explain” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. When you buy a Blood or Whiskey album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Breaking Through” and “Paranoid State” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Paranoid State - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I came to like Sober Again. Never Be Me is the song that really did it for me. Kin of the Fairies/Western Junk is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Your Majesty as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. It’s such an underrated song. When You Sing which is my favorite is a truly Blood or Whiskey sounding song. Geektime - I like this one. As always, Blood or Whiskey’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Follow me up to Carlow/Holt’s Way is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Blood or Whiskey sings his heart out in Don’t Go Far. Nice and different song. Once Frank gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Sometimes is a cool song and it grows on you. A fantastic track full of wonder.
