This is one of the best Cd’s Bad Manners has dropped to date. On the Sweden charts, superstar Bad Manners’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. There is so much to love about Bad Manners, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Such great and happy songs.
I came to like Stampede. Since You’ve Gone Away is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Skinhead Girl is probably the most interesting track on Eat the Beat. This track is full of harmonies and gets Eat the Beat off to a relaxing start. Sally Brown presents the excellent mix of instruments on Eat the Beat. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Pipeline was the first single release from the album Eat the Beat. Non Shrewd is a striking and quite long song. Oh Jamaica is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Mafia is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Johnny’s Knee is possibly the best song Bad Manners has come up. How Big do You Love Me? the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Bad Manners has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Dume Batty - This is a very lively song. Big Five - a classic song. I find myself hearing bits of Bonanza Ska here and there throughout my waking hours.
