This is the first studio album from Artrosis since bad diagnosis in 2002. Artrosis’s debut, ‘Melange’, does not fit easily into one genre. I am not a real Metal: Gothic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Melange’ really is amazing. Melange is not something you should pass up.
In Low Spirits marked the continuation of Artrosis in style evolution. There is cool mix of music in Was It Meant To Be Like That. Melange is a song to enjoy for years to come. Artrosis has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Somewhere Between defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Stone Infatuated is my favorite song on Melange. Angemel is astounding. Artrosis emotions are reflected through A Leaden Sky. A Yen is probably the most interesting track on Melange. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
