There is so much to love about Amen, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. We Have Come For Your Parents carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Since Amen last CD (We Have Come For Your Parents) on Virgin Records back in 2000, I have felt a massive void in my life. Such great and happy songs.
Refuse Amen is another strong production from Amen. This track is a great song that still never gets old. In The Price Of Reality the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. After about the third Mayday listen through, I began to believe this song is Amen’s essence. Charming song, great melody. Dead On The Bible is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Too Hard To Be Free gets you up and jumping. Ungrateful Ded has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Musically Piss Virus is superior to other tracks in We Have Come For Your Parents. The Waiting is probably the highlight of the album. I love the melodic melody of Take My Head and to this day it makes me feel good. In Your Suit is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. I listened to the opening track Here’s The Poison and liked it a lot.
