The Splinters isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After seeing Intro, I had to have a good Ambivalence cd. This is one of the best Cd’s Ambivalence has dropped to date. Exciting stuff.
The song feels complete. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Simple and heartfelt closing track Alone With Misanthropy closes The Splinters on a high note. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Splinters is The Splinters. De Profundum is almost impossible to review. This track is clearly meant to showcase Ambivalence’s vocal abilities. Escape From Oneself marked the continuation of Ambivalence in style evolution.
