Twelfth Of Never was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Twelfth Of Never and Things That Were together. There is no doubt that Twelfth Of Never has talent. Self-described as Metal: Gothic with lots of words, Twelfth Of Never comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Check it every song is worth the money for the Things That Were CD!
Bratty Girl is a bit of a show-tune. Nightlong is beautiful, yet underrated track. Ever After Fading pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Recognition is my favorite song on Things That Were. In As Autumn Falls full palet of sound is used by Twelfth Of Never to accentuate the presentation. Within the first few notes of The Tiny Drawer it’s perfectly clear that Twelfth Of Never is living this song. Music of Such Are Mirrors is gentle, never overbearing. This track is clearly meant to showcase Twelfth Of Never’s vocal abilities. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I listened to the opening track Shade Of Grey and liked it a lot. Unknow is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
