This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Since completing 2002’s ‘The Last DJ’, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Since Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers last CD (The Last DJ) on Sparrow Records back in 2002, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is awesome.
The sound in Money Becomes King is really warm and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Joe is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. When A Kid Goes Bad is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I can’t stop humming along Like A Diamond. Lost Children is a fine track on any terms. Blue Sunday has a fun tempo. You And Me is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The Man Who Loves Women is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Have Love, Will Travel the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Can’t Stop The Sun is a medium tempo tune.
