Self-described as Metal: Gothic with lots of words, Theatres Des Vampires comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Theatres Des Vampires’s new album to that on ‘Vampyrisme…’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best Cd’s Theatres Des Vampires has dropped to date. This is what good Metal: Gothic should be.
Twilight can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Theatres Des Vampires is all about. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. After few listenings I started to like In The Wood more and more. Ancient Damned is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Album opener Woods Of Walacchia Part 1 is a bright, upbeat ditty. I hope to keep hearing Theatres Des Vampires works for a long time to come. You have to get essence of the Walpurgas Night’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. The Show Turns Red - To me, this is the best song on the Vampyrisme…. The Impaler is a strong cut, one of many. Kingdom Of Vampires as a highlight of Vampyrisme… contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. The Enchanted Forest (2:52) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Lucretia from the beginning to the end. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
