Since Stephane Pompougnac last CD (Hotel Costes vol. 4) on Capitol Records back in 2001, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is no doubt that Stephane Pompougnac has talent. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Stephane Pompougnac’s album Hotel Costes vol. 4 falls to No. 2 with 418,000, a sales slide of 57%. If you want to hear real Easy Listening, get this record now!
Dublex Inc. Tango Forte is the more seemingly obscure song on Hotel Costes vol. 4 that bear up best to repeated listening. Gotan Project poca is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Imada Playground do Brasil (6:02) - awsome. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Hotel Costes vol. 4 is Jon Cutler feat. E-Man It s Yours (Jon s B-Side Breakdown Mix). This is probably my favorite song on the album. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Orbient Boarding (Doubleseat Mix). Scott Grooves Organ Night Pt. 2 is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Although Shantel Whatever is very melodic it is far from sad. Such hits like SlowSupreme Granada will leave you hooked. I like Stephane Pompougnac Closer to Julie because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. The Method I ve Got a Cat is beautiful, yet underrated track. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Stephane Pompougnac.
