After seeing io voglio vivere, I had to have a good Nomadi cd. ‘Nomadi 40 (CD2)’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Self-described as folk: latin with lots of words, Nomadi comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Smart music for smart people.
la liberta di volare is almost impossible to review. The song la vita che seduce ending is my favorite… so catchy! The sound in una storia da raccontare is really warm and Nomadi’s signature voice is still very much present. auschwitz is really the reason why I recommend buying Nomadi 40 (CD2). Lyrics of naracauli are precise and evocative. sangue al cuore is pretty funky and mellow. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. I like to sing along with nu gioia nu dolore, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The opening track il nome che non hai is very much like you would expect from other albums. ho difeso il mio amore is the funkiest number on the album. dio e morto is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. ti lascio una parola (goodbye) - This one is lively and fun. vivo forte is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. senza discutere - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Best song on the album, love it.
