It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of My Vitriol energies, virtually a rebirth. After debuting at No. 1 last week, My Vitriol’s album Between The Lines falls to No. 2 with 735,000, a sales slide of 90%. eight years ago, My Vitriol briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Game Of Pricks”. Great Indie right here!
Simple and heartfelt closing track Game Of Pricks closes Between The Lines on a high note. Vocals of My Vitriol in Another Lie really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. It Came Crashing - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Static is almost impossible to review. Always: Your Way (Live Acoustic) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Once you hear Breakfast (Live Session), you will listen to it over and over. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Music in Wait A Minute is cool as in all tracks of Between The Lines. My Vitriol is one of artists that allow his songs like Windows & Walls (Acoustic Version) to stand on their own and be heard. Safety Zones & Crumple Zones (2:36) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Vapour Trails stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Taprobane & Losing Touch (Acoustic Session) was the first single release from the album Between The Lines. Oh Father is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This is one hell of a track. Get Between The Lines and turn on Moodswings if you are going to sip your wine late at night.
