Since Mike Patton last CD (Collected Psyche) on Columbia Records back in 2002, I have felt a massive void in my life. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Mike Patton’s new album to that on ‘Collected Psyche’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Collected Psyche is an amazing album, racked with beauty.IT makes me wanna dance!
Mine is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Psychoanalytwist is perfect song though, very addictive. In Chariot Choogle the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Collected Psyche couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Shes Gone Away. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Collected Psyche. Gi Joe is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Song Drape 7-1 Come is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. It’s such an underrated song. Area 877 - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. A great put together song. I think Somthing for the Girl Whit Everything is the best song Mike Patton has ever done. Put Ford Mustang into car stereo for your highway driving Procura O Cara is a cool song and it grows on you. Infinito is nothing but pure genius. This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us sets the tone for the entire album. There is perfect mix of music in The Man In The Blue Slip. Lookaway (Master Vire Mix) gives taste of what makes Mike Patton special as a musician. The opening track The Waste is very much like you would expect from other albums.
