Lead single “Gulname” and “Semaname” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It has been four years Mercan Dede’ last studio CD, “Seyahatname” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. When you buy a Mercan Dede album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Check it every song is worth the money for the Seyahatname CD!
Semaname is Mercan Dede’s best work in years. Hayalname is one of the coolest songs Mercan Dede has ever recorded. Sahname is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Neyname without a doubt is the standout song of Seyahatname. Mercan Dede sings his heart out in Vefaname. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Askname is my favorite song on Seyahatname. Falname is the more seemingly obscure song on Seyahatname that bear up best to repeated listening. Sirname on Seyahatname is solid and easy to listen to.
