Kurt Elling had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. John Digester has compared writing for Kurt Elling’s new album to that on ‘Man in the Air’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Kurt Elling’s debut, ‘Man in the Air’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is my first Kurt Elling Album and i must say i am blown away.
In The Winelight - This one is lively and fun. In Resolution the music gets its power. Time To Say Goodbye is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The Uncertainty Of The Poet gives good insight into the truths. The More I Have You to me is the best you can get from Kurt Elling. Man In The Air sets the tone for the entire album. A Secret I is the more seemingly obscure song on Man in the Air that bear up best to repeated listening. Higher Vibe - I just love it. Put Hidden Jewel into car stereo for your highway driving Never My Love - To me, this is the best song on the Man in the Air. All Is Quiet - Okay, I just talked about depth.
