After seeing the novel sound, I had to have a good llorca cd. Since llorca last CD (New Comer) on ForeFront Records back in 2001, I have felt a massive void in my life. Self-described as Acid Jazz with lots of words, llorca comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. To me llorca is the best band ever.
indigo blues with nicole graham is a bit different from llorca stereotypical stuff. lights behind windows makes a person feel gorgeous. New Comer couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track i cry (original mix) with mandel turner. From the moment you listen to any how you’re hooked. It took me a little time but I ended up loving true to me with lady bird. lalo caught me dancin’ which is my favorite is a truly llorca sounding song. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of llorca. the end is one of the coolest songs llorca has ever recorded.
