Thom Yorke has compared writing for Lalo Mora’s new album to that on ‘Mil Pedazos’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lalo Mora is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Mil Pedazos is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Lalo Mora ever produced. I like to sing along with Derrotado Corazon, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Hazmela Buena is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Album opener Tu Tuviste la Culpa is a bright, upbeat ditty. Rafael Caro Quintero is just simply stunning. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Callare. If you are a Lalo Mora fan, you will love Es Demasiado Tarde. In Ni Dada la Quiero you won’t find any flashy solos. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
