Not surprising from Joyce and Gafeira Moderna together. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Joyce’s new album to that on ‘Gafeira Moderna’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Na Casa Do Villa sets the tone for the entire album. In Pega Leve it becomes nowhere more obvious that Joyce has yet to define own style. The Band On The Wall to me is the best you can get from Joyce. Still going through Gafeira Moderna and coming to appreciate Samba Da Silvia more and more with every listen. Bota De Sete Leguas - A classic Joyce track. Risco rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Diz Que Eu Tambem Fui Por Ai is probably the highlight of the album. This track is clearly meant to showcase Joyce’s vocal abilities. Quatro Elementos is simply marvelous.
