Lead single “Invocation” and “Sex Magick” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s natural for John Zorn to take a stab at ‘Invocation’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. This disc has all of the essential John Zorn classics. This is what good Easy Listening should be.
Sex Magick is beautiful, yet underrated track. Excellent vocals and musical performances. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Lucifer Rising sets the tone for the entire album. A great put together song. Mysteries is one of my favorite songs by John Zorn.
