Filmworks 10: In The Mirror Of Maya Deren carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album has some very good songs like Drifting 1 and Dancing. This disc has all of the essential John Zorn classics. To me John Zorn is the best band ever.
All of songs on Filmworks 10: In The Mirror Of Maya Deren and have something to say letting alone Dancing. There is exquisite mix of music in Kiev 1. Teiji’s Time is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything John Zorn released so far. Nostalgia 1 is probably the highlight of the album. John Zorn sings his heart out in Filming. Mirror Worlds is simply cool. Such hits like Nightscape will leave you hooked. Nostalgia 2 is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Kiev 2 is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. John Zorn has astounded me with this amazing track. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. As always, John Zorn’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Drifting 3 - A nice song.
