This is the first studio album from Iona since bad diagnosis in 2003. IF YOU LIKE ALL Iona’S SONG GO FOR IT! Now signed to Iona’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Treasures The Very Best” leads Iona’s back-to-school campaign. Iona is one of my favourite bands of all time.
The Island - I like this one. Flight Of The Wild Goose is the first taste of the new album. Chii Rho is a great opener for Treasures The Very Best. In Burning Like Fire full palet of sound is used by Iona to accentuate the presentation. Iona is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Iona ever produced. Revelation without a doubt is the standout song of Treasures The Very Best. I find myself hearing bits of Columcille here and there throughout my waking hours. I think Dancing On The Wall is the best song Iona has ever done. Iona is one of artists that allow his songs like Kells to stand on their own and be heard. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Today. Here I Stand is one of these floating songs. Opening track Edge Of The World shows the best of Iona. Mathew The Man - For me, this is the best of the album. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
