In Gowan Ring’s debut, ‘Exists And Entrances Vol.1′, does not fit easily into one genre. This is one of the best Cd’s In Gowan Ring has dropped to date. Exists And Entrances Vol.1 carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. I wish that “Exists And Entrances Vol.1″ album was instrumental.
Rosehip November is a medium tempo tune. In Gowan Ring is one of artists that allow his songs like Are We Lost to stand on their own and be heard. Listening to Bedlam Boys you can hear that In Gowan Ring has still amazing chemistry with band members. I find myself hearing bits of Winter Flowers here and there throughout my waking hours. Song A Spider Song is actually a funny song. Hazel Steps Green Handed - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. In Gowan Ring offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Secret Heart closes Exists And Entrances Vol.1 on a high note. I Went Into A Hazel Wood catches attention immediately, Way To Blue is In Gowan Ring’s best work in years. Nice and different song.
