Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Hollenthon on ‘Eclipsa_-_Vita_Nova’. Since completing 2000’s ‘Eclipsa_-_Vita_Nova’, Hollenthon fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. It’s natural for Hollenthon to take a stab at ‘Eclipsa_-_Vita_Nova’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. This album is a scorcher!
Premonition_-_Lex_Talionis is nothing but pure genius. Reprisal_-_Malis_Avibus is the more seemingly obscure song on Domvs Mvndi that bear up best to repeated listening. Hollenthon must have run out of lyrics on the next track Interlude_-_Ultima_Ratio_Regum. If you are a Hollenthon fan, you will love Lure_-_Pallida_Mors. Vestige_-_Non_Omnis_Moriar is one of these floating songs. Homage_-_Magni_Hominis_Umbra is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Enrapture-_Hinc_Illae_Lacrimae had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
