There is so much to love about Goatwhore, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since Goatwhore last CD (The Eclipse Of Ages Into Black) on Sparrow Records back in 2000, I have felt a massive void in my life. This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Goatwhore has. The Eclipse Of Ages Into Black is not something you should pass up.
Lair Of Nastrond - A nice song. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Desolate Path To Apocalyptic Ruin. The Beauty In Suffering is Goatwhore’s best work in years. Goatwhore has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. All The Sins - I just love it. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Upon This Deathbed Of Cold Fire is astounding and different song. Gravedom - another great track from the The Eclipse Of Ages Into Black album. Invert The Virgin the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. I love the melodic melody of Perversions Of The Ancient Goat and to this day it makes me feel good. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Under A Dark God still maintains something of a specific flourish. Goatwhore breathes new life into the music in Commanding The Legions Of Hell. Don’t judge Graveyards And Dead Angels on the first listening.
