Since Exhumed last CD (Slaughtercult) on EMI Records back in 2000, I have felt a massive void in my life. I am not a real Metal: Death,Black music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Slaughtercult’ really is amazing. Since completing 2000’s ‘Decrepit Crescendo’, Exhumed fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Forged In Fire - another great track from the Slaughtercult album. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is A Lesson In Pathology because the melody in the chorus is so good. I loved This Axe Was Made To Grind the first time I heard it. Carnal Epitaph is one of the best records ever. Strong, powerful vocals of Exhumed in Dinnertime In The Morgue are very impressive. Fester Forever has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Slave To The Casket is the funkiest number on the album. This track is full of harmonies and gets Slaughtercult off to a relaxing start. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Funeral Fuck. Best song on the album, love it.
