This disc has all of the essential Eternal Tears Of Sorrow classics. Eternal Tears Of Sorrow’s debut, ‘A Virgin and A Whore’, does not fit easily into one genre. This ten-song debut EP shows the promise that Eternal Tears Of Sorrow has. A Virgin and A Whore is not something you should pass up.
I can’t stop humming along Heart Of Wilderness. Prophetian is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Fall Of Man is astounding. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is The River Flows Frozen. Some of the arrangements found on A Virgin and A Whore are surprisingly edgy. Get A Virgin and A Whore and turn on Sick, Dirty and Mean if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Aeon is worth the money.
