On Serial Human album, Esem have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Serial Human is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since completing 2003’s ‘Tawn’, Esem fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Serial Human is the best essence of Esem.
Alipe Lacks - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Esem. When I listen to Upward Instlr in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Scatterhaunted & Vellin Street is pretty funky and mellow. Kyes Ivrload one of the best in my collection. Outburst Nue great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Square Lamp I just LOVE this mix! Sofiatram As I Heart It is a song to enjoy for years to come. Only one song from Serial Human named swift urban departure form what was once an innocent soul really got me. Get Serial Human and turn on Bleece if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Cee is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Tjiccli is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Esem released so far.
