This album has some very good songs like Estrella and MG¡rame a los Ojos. While no new Enrique Morente album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Europe. After seeing Estrella, I had to have a good Enrique Morente cd. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
MG¡rame a los Ojos without a doubt is the standout song of La Estrella. CompaG¤ero has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Enrique Morente’s strong vocals come to the fore. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Defender AndalucG¡a. Tu vienes vendiendo Flores is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Me faltan las Fuerzas - My least favorite song on this album. AlegrG¡as de Enrique is a very catchy tune. Yo escucho los Cantos have really caught my ear and imagination. Que me van Aniquilando - To me, this is the best song on the La Estrella. Enrique Morente breathes new life into the music in Seguiriya. SoleG is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. A unique and uplifting song.
