IF YOU LIKE ALL Enrique Morente’S SONG GO FOR IT! Homenaje Flamenco a Antonio Chacon isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is so much to love about Enrique Morente, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. One of Enrique Morente’s best albums yet.
I loved A Mi Que Me Importa the first time I heard it. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Yo He Visto A Un Nino Llorar is a amazing, simple song by Enrique Morente at the top of his game. Although La Lengua Que De Mi Murmura is very melodic it is far from sad. The first time I listened to Eso No Lo Manda La Ley I was struck by its excellent sound. Como Reluce sets the tone for the entire album. Siempre Por Los Rincones is perfect and different song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Enrique Morente is hitting on all cylinders in Solamente Con Mirarte. En Un Hospital La Vi is the funkiest number on the album. When listening to Rosa Si No Te Cogi, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Only one song from Homenaje Flamenco a Antonio Chacon named De Aquella Campana Triste really got me. Enrique Morente offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. A Que Tanto Me Consientes still maintains something of a specific flourish. La Que Vive En La Carrera has a fun tempo. Del Convento Las Campanas is probably the highlight of the album. Enrique Morente breathes new life into the music in Soy Del Reino De Almeria. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
