Enrique Morente was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Enrique Morente and Cante Flamenco together. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Enrique Morente on ‘Plaza De Los Herradores’. There is so much to love about Enrique Morente, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Enrique Morente ever.
It’s such an underrated song. Ni Quien Se Acuerde De Mi is absolutely incredible. This track is clearly meant to showcase Enrique Morente’s vocal abilities. ‘Toito’ Me Viene En Contra is a strong cut, one of many. En La Estacion De Jerez sets the tone for the entire album. Se Me Aparecio La Muerte - I like this one. A Las Minas Del Romero - A strong beat. La Verdulera is outstanding work of Enrique Morente. In Me Tienes ‘Consumio’ Enrique Morente spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Once Mi Hora Mala Llego gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
